Hello there! I am 25 years old Croatian guy, recently I've fallen in love with pinballs and slowly trying yo build up my collection. Currently i have Fish tales, BSD and just few days ago i had bought CFTBL. Previous owner did some playfield retouch which i don't like at all. He failed with matching colours, and some parts on car are missing. After all he applied mylar over his work. So i don't know what to do now, should i remove mylar, scrap original art then apply playfield decal, or should i try to give my best to paint it properly.

Best regards

Luka

Hi Lucalo!

What I do? To remove mylar, you can use cold freeze spray. It is the most secure technique.

Here a vídeo with several techniques. You can mix them.

Do a colour maching and repaint. Damaged zones, I will do a vinyl with drawing.

To finish all, apply 2-4 layers of transparent lacquer. You will not use mylar again.

Regards

Thank you for the quick reply and a lot of the feedback. Within few weeks I will start to disassembly top side of the playfield and will inform you with the result.

Luka

Saludos!
