About the enhanced print version:In the printed version, which can be seen in detail in the photos, we have chosen to delete the transparent rectangular shape that frames the original layout of buttons and joysticks. There are
2 reasons that represent a considerable improvement for this:
1) By eliminating the huge transparent frame under the layout, a better visual experience of design continuity is achieved over any control panel overlay. That is, the change in printing material between the button layout and the printed background design is more difficult to detect than if there were transparent material around the entire layout.
2) In the original printed decoration, the printing materials, especially the transparent vinyl, tended to yellow, although with current materials, this is more difficult to occur.
* This effect can be seen in the photos of the original control panels that I show at the beginning of the thread.
In exchange, for eliminating the transparent material of the original, we have gained economically, since
it is cheaper, since it is not necessary to use
white ink to reproduce the original as the basis of the design to achieve good opacity in the colors. The only thing that has become more complex in the design is the "pre-cut", which now needs to be very precise, but with current technology it is possible to achieve it, and the time it takes to do so, since there are many more cutting edges and curves, which slightly increases the price.

There are other types of improvements available in printing, such as
vinyl with extra-strong glue from the
3M brand, which in 3 days become permanent adhesives.
Although the protective laminates used for printed vinyl are very strong,
U.V. and rough finish, which prevent yellowing, another type can be used such as a gloss or satin finish.
